The Chasm

There are many geographical anomalies on Aroka, but the Chasm is by far one of the most unsettling. Most only know of its existence through tales brought by adventurers and delvers as it is located deep underground beneath the island of Okanu. Few are brave enough to venture into the caves and caverns of Aroka, but those that do and are fortunate enough to return to the surface speak of a hidden world full of strange ecosystems, terrifying monsters, other-worldly ruins, and hostile subterrainian peoples. They also talk of massive expanses in the earth, almost worlds unto themselves. In one of the largest ones beneath Okanu lies a massive chasm as if the earth itself had been split in half. Only those with the keenest vision can see to the other side and a bottom has yet to be found. What could have created this anomaly is beyond even the most astute of Cogys institutes, but it has inspired adventurers and delvers alike to explore the underworld and seek out other great divides in the earth and make a name for themselves.
