Bearkin

The Anthropomorphic bears known as Bearkin can be found in nearly every biome on Aroka. They are one of the largest Anthropes, standing between two and three meters tall on average. Their fur colors range from brown to black, with some rarer subspecies, often found in tundra or arctic regions, having grey or white fur. Though very rare, Bearkin living in hot environments will have little or even no fur.
Bearkin, regardless of subspecies, are known for being a resilient and adaptive species. They are quick on land and in water and are capable climbers. Their diets are highly adaptable, ranging from fruits to meats, even subsisting on insects and wood in extreme cases. Those that travel between regions with opposing temperature extremes often grow and shed hair to accommodate, with the exception of those with white fur and those with little or no fur. Additionally, their thick hides and fur serve as a light natural armor.
