Calendar

The calendar widely used on Runaveyr consists of 10 months based around the first and second half of each season, referred to as their waxing and wanings. Each month correlates to the associated season, whether that be the first or last half of it. The months are as follows:

1. Grand Spring Waxes
2. Grand Spring Wanes
3. Ember’s Crown Waxes
4. Ember’s Crown Wanes
5. Equinoxumn Waxes
6. Equinoxumn Wanes
7. Frosttide Waxes
8. Frosttide Wanes
9. Discordia Waxes
10. Discordia Wanes

Each month is broken up into 5 weeks, each consisting of 9 days for a total of 45 days in each month, 450 days a year. The days are named as follows:

1. Turtle
2. Cat
3. Hare
4. Dragon
5. Oxen
6. Serpent
7. Goat
8. Wolf
9. Boar

Each month correlates to the associated season, whether that be the first or last half of it.

Additionally, there are 36 hours per Runaveyrian day.

• Dawn is approx. 7-8am
• Dusk is approx. 26-27pm

The date on Runaveyr is written as the same as various other planes of existence we’ve found as does in our world with the format being Month/Day/Year/Era which would make Runaveyrian dates written as

10/45/7381 A2S

Which would be the 45th day of Discordia Wanes, 7381 years since the Age of the 2nd Sun began.

Each month generally has at least 2 or 3 holidays each, with different regions and cultures celebrating their own in addition to universally celebrated one's such as the Festival of the New Dawn which functions as the new year.
