The Months

Spring

Obith the First Month

The beginning of spring gives first to Obitos The Death Titan's month. This is month is when the last of the starving beast die to give way to the sprouts. This is when beast that have long rested now return with killing on their minds, driven by their long empty bellies.

Vith the Second Month

The second month is tied to Vita the Titan of Life as the world finally shakes the last of the deep frost from the earth and melts into new life. Sprouts rise and breeding pairs often find each other. It is believed if one is born on this month that they will live a long and happy life. Farmers believe it is now that one should plant ones crops, as doing so at the start of spring is sure to draw bad luck.

Silvth the Third Month

The other half of the heart of spring is owed to Silva the Titan of Wood. Whose domain is all the plant life which grows across Arkos. Many farmers give gifts to the shrines and temples of Silva during this time to bless their crops.

Magth the Fourth Month

The fourth month is the time of Magmi, the Titan of Lava. As a child of both fire and earth this tie binds the first season of earth to the second season of fire, introducing summer to Arkos. The cool breezes which have lingered since winter now dissapate, leaving instead the first signs of the oppresive heat to come. The changes in tempature often bring with it storms, however due to the new heat these storms are often "dry storms" meaning the rain which falls evaporates before it reaches the earth. This is not so bad if it were not for the dry lightning which acompanies them. These strikes often cause fires.

Summer

Cinth the Fifth Month

The fifth month is fittingly touched by Cineres the Titan of Ash. The dry lightning and their storms often continue though this month however they start to lessen the further into Cinth Arkos gets. This is often a time to pay respects to the fallen and to be respective of the cycle of life. Farmers often burn controlled fires and as ash to nourish their crops to appease Cineres. Hoping their offerings will drive the dry lightning away from their land.

Lunth the Sixth Month

The sixth month is under the perview of Luna, the Titan of the Moon. The heat of the summer begins reaching it's peak during this month. Night's however still offer a cool touch to one's sweating brow and many thank the moon for this respite. Often people work at night rather during the day this month to keep from the sweltering heat.

Solth the Seventh Month

The seventh month is the hottest of all and is the time of Solis, the Titan of the Sun. This is the month of languid rest, as the heat becomes truly oppressive, the creatures of Arkos lounge in the shade and sunlight with only dozing typically on their mind. It is a time of quiet, contented celebration of happiness and life.

Fulth the Eighth Month

The eighth month is the month of storms, dedicated to Fulgur the Titan of lightning. Unlike the dry lightning of Magth however this lightning is not unwelcome for it brings with it the rains needed to nourish the last of the years crops and to soothe away the overbearing heat of summer. Easing the world into the embrace of Autumn

Autumn

Somith the Ninth Month

The ninth month is the domain of Somnium the Titan of Dreams and ushers the world into Autumn smoothly. Aether's season is a time for change, not just of the physical world but of the metaphysical as well. Somnium is said to waken on this single month out of the year to weave the most delightful dreams for all creatures, encouraging them towards the hope that is within their grasp.

Exth the Tenth Month

The tenth month of Arkos belongs to the Titan Exterri, the Titan of Nightmares. While sleep calls to them once more, Somnium does not do so before rousing their lover Exterri with a single kiss. Upon awakening Exterri sets to work doing what Somnium could not. For those who do not find dreams stirring enough to set onto the path needed in there lives there are plenty of nightmares. Though this time is not meant to be one of suffering but instead it is a time to self reflect on ones short comings.

Pulth the Eleventh Month

The eleventh month is the time of Pulvis, the Titan of Dust. Farmers pull the last of their crops from the earth during this month and the grounds left bare in tribute to Pulvis who calls the dust to rise and spread, to share the earths bounty elsewhere, bringing to one place what is needed and taking from it that which is not. These days with the world covered in mist this is not so common and instead to bring glory to Pulvis this is often a time when people reflect on what they one day become. Dust.

Divth the Twelfth Month

The twelfth month marks the coming end of Autumn but also marks the time of true reflection in the long nights of the coming Winter. Divas, the Titan of Spirits, claims this month as their own and thins the veil between the living and the dead as they usher souls back and forth to be reborn.

Winter

Calith the Thirteenth Month

The thirteenth month is owed to Caligo as it is the time of mist for the Titan of Mist. It was during this month in which the Ascension happened and is often a time of mourning and remembrance.

Acith the Fourteenth Month

The fourteenth month is the domain of Acidulus and as such marks the beginning of the gnawing hunger that often only grows worse as winter grows long in the tooth. Both Acidulus and their twin work together to remind the world to be grateful of the good times in times such as these.

Veneth the Fifteenth Month

The fifteenth month is Venenum's the Titan of Venom, both her and her twin ruling together over the domain of decay. Due to how during this time the cold and the worlds hunger only worsens it is commonly said that Venenum has the worst bite when comparing the twins.

Geluth the Sixteenth Month

The last month of the year is owed to Gelus, the Titan of Ice and none can forget it. The nights of this month are the longest and coldest, the winds made all the worse by his bite. During this time people often repent their past mistakes and offer tribute to Gelus for his great service to the world in allowing them to live and be reborn into the new year.

The Year

In the lands of Arkos there are sixteen months, each of them of equal length at twenty two days, making the years of Arkos three hundred and fifty two days long. Each of these months are owed to the Scion Titans and are tethered to them metaphyscially.

Birth Titans

It is believed that one's "Birth Titan" might have some influence or foretelling on one's life. Some individuals dedicate themselves not to the Cardinal Titan of their people but to the Scion they believe themselves connected with. Those that do so tend to be under the faith that Scion Titans are more likely to answer one's dedicated faith than a Cardinal one.
