Ophelia
While she presents herself as a Tiefling, the true form of the being known as Ophelia remains a mystery to most. Appearing near the end of The Sanctioned's campaign against Janus, Ophelia invited the Sanctioned to a carnival she had created in the forests of Velant. With the help of rogue summer Eladrin, Ophelia used the carnival to trap citizens of Velant that had been displaced by machinations of The Holy Light.
The Sanctioned discovered that Ophelia's motivations did not lie in service to Janus, but rather in adoration for Rin Trueheart, when Rin had become infected with Primordial Light and assumed her identity as 'Justice.' Wanting Rin to sink fully into the light corruption, Ophelia constructed the carnival as a means for Rin to judge those she deemed unworthy.
Along with saving Rin, the Sanctioned managed to slay Ophelia herself. Ophelia's body was later retrieved and revived by Cilas Darkhold, and the two mad mages have since begun a romantic relationship, much to the disgust of those that know of them.
