Origin Portals
The Origin Portal is a mysterious phenomenon which generally referes to 1 of 3 means of planar shift.
- Origin Portal
- Pocket Dimension
- Origin Gateway
All three manifest using
Origin Force but only one of the three fits the description of Origin Portal. In history many made the mistake of classifying/identifying them wrongly therefore most are confused about what genuine Origin Portals are.
The Gateway
An Origin Gateway is simply a connection between realms using the power of the
Origin Force but this connection in and of itself is not something that special. Powerful mages can achieve the same effect with spells. Many creatures are even born with the innate ability to shift between different realms. At other times it has also occured that Gateways have been formed as aftereffects of major energy clashes no matter what kind of energy. Generally speaking there is not much of a difference in the connection just the power source is different.
The Pocket Dimension
The Pocket Dimension is closer to a genuine Origin Portal but still completely different, again the effect of a Pocket Dimension can be achieved by utilising different kinds of powers and does not nessecarily need
Origin Force to manifest. But when using Origin Force much less energy is needed to form the Dimension, even extremely complex things such as living organisms are created with much less effort in comparison to other forms of energy. Though divine energy is not far off in this regard and some clerics have speculated that divine energy when applied correctly might even outshine origin force in some aspects. These pocket dimensions can range from small spaces like a warehouse up to entire auxiliary worlds and sub dimensions.
The Origin Portal
This is the real deal and by far the most complex and mysterious of the 3. This phenomenon cannot be replicated with other forms of energy, at least until this day no one has managed to do it. Most mages and scholars know nothing about this phenomenon not to mention being able to create one. Among those who do know about it only a select few have the opportunity to see one with their own eyes and study them.
Origin Portals are also a form of Gatway but instead of leading to another Realm they lead into an
Origin Trial mysterious trials in which strong beings face off agaisnt all kinds of threats in order to gain more power over the origin Force.
