The Broken

The Broken are races that were created at cursus death. While the backslash of the recreance was unleashed on this planet the humans living there got subjected to this world altering force.
About half of the humanoid population got transformed into different kinds of Broken.
Some of the Broken races became part of human societies. Their genes mixing with the normal human populace. Other more horrific types of Broken were cast out and ended up reproducing on their own. Most of those races did not regain their sentience.

Sub Species of Broken

The Soundless Can't hear or make any sounds. Have a physological sixth sense. The soundless have developed psycic abilities and are one of the view Broken races that remained sentient. They live in strangely formed mountain cities and are generally left alone.
The sightless Humanoids that have lost the ability to see. They have become uncivilised monsters that live in the underdark. They are a bit similar to Falmer in Skyrim. Populations of Sightless often cluster in large cave systems. They are lead by a clan leader. this is always the strongest warrior of the clan. This could just as easily be a woman as a man.
Sightless visit the surface to hunt game. They are cannibals' as in they eat other human subspecies or sightless of other colonies. They hunt by smell and echo-location. Many travelers have had to face the terror of hearing the inhuman screaming of Sightless on a hunt during the night. The unfortunate ones will be dragged down the caverns never to be seen again.

The emotionless They live between normal humanoids but lack some or in special cases almost all emotions. Because they lack something not physically visible they have been able to live between the normal species of their kind (human, elf).
Emotionless differ from each other in how many and what emotions they lack. Some of them live fully functional lives in human societies and find happiness there. Sadly Emotionless have stronger genes and their children will almost always bear the same decease.
Emotionless generally don't have kingdoms of their own as it can be hard to identify and them being emotionless would complicate things in a society. However sometimes Emotionless who find each other band together in villages or on journeys.
A sub type of Emotionless created by Sarkan are the Fearless. A group of warriors/assassins that don't know fear at all. Ironically it is them who were feared through all of Arkesh for their relentless skill.
Boneless basically slime like monsters that live in dark places.
Shapeless A race of shapechangers. Much like Dopplegangers or Changelings. Just like emotionless Shapeless have become more like a disease within humanoid population rather than reproducing on their own. Nowadays shapeless gens are lurking within all humanoid families. Waiting to emege once in a while.
Shapeless take few years to learn to control their shapeshifting. As babies and toddlers they can be seen uncontrollably shifting faces and body parts in a fast rotation. Often making their parents crazy. If the parents decide to let the child live that is.
Shapeless are only able to take forms of people they have seen before. Because they don't have a form of their own many Shapeless end up having big identity problems later in their lives.
Sleepless Sleepless are another kind of broken that became mixed with the gene pool and exist as a sort of disease within humanoid populations. Sleepless are as their name implies unable to sleep or dream.
Mechanics: Conditions that would let them fall asleep won't work on them but despite that they CAN still be knocked out. Even though sleepless don't need to sleep their bodies need to physically rest for 4 hours every night. Sleepless can withstand 1 extra level of fatigue.
Being a sleepless had many advantages. Still no normal person envy's being a sleepless as there is one major drawback to being a sleepless. Because of their unhealthy life sleepless often have a lifespan that is half of what they normally would have had as a normal member of their species. The lack of mental rest also puts a strain on the Sleepless. Meaning they often end up going crazy as they age. Mental diseases like Alzheimer are also common. Even on younger ages.
