Stoneforged

The Stoneforged were created many years ago when the Seal of Earth got broken. They are a race of humanoid figures that are made of stone. Inside their bodies they carry a large gemstone that contains their life energy.

History

It was a dark day during Dwarven history. A war fueled by creed had been fought for years. A cataclysmic event envolded and the seal of earth was destroyed. An earthquake of insane proportions shook the planet. Volcanos around the glove erupted and a new continent was formed. Above ground this event already was very destructive. The eruptions caused a 3 year long winter during which all races suffered badly. But it was much worse underground. The sturdy dwarven constructions all collapsed. Back in the days they were unrivaled underground and by far the highest numbered race on Arkesh. But this event brought them to the brink of extinction. All prehistoric dwarven kingdoms were gone.
But during the destruction of the seal new godly energy flooded acros the earth. A new species was born. The Stoneforged. They lived simple prehistoric lives. Quickly gaining numbers in the territory that was now theirs. A few centuries later the first made it to the surface. Not much later the first Stoneforged encountered the Dwarves. The Dwarves blamed the Stoneforged for causing the Great Quake. Made them out to be devils rather than accepting they had caused it. The Dwarves slaughtered each Stoneforged they encountered.
Through war and trade the Stoneforged gained a more intelligent lifestyle. They created their own countries. After millenia of war a Stoneforged hero discovered the truth about their creation. He managed to make peace with the dwarves and finally the underdark became a civilised place again.
In recent history Sarkan managed to make the country's war again. After he devided them he then conquered one of the dwarven kingdoms.
