Tedious Dolphin War

The Conflict

Prelude

Before the beginning of the Dolphin War, the small tropical island of Starosa was building up its economic gain and exports became a major part of its economy. Dolphins are known for their great intelligence and this time, they had seen something going on with trade ships entering Starosa.   The Dolphins were from an area called the Shallow Tunnels and it took most of the war just to find the dolphins, all the fighting took place in the last few days.   This caused them to attack a shipping freighter and killing its captain, scaring the residence of Starose. Following this, the Starosan navy sent an all-out attack on the dolphins

Deployment

A deployment of 10 Starosian navy ships fully manned.

Battlefield

East coast and coral reef of the island of Starosa, It was hard for ships to cross the reef without damaging it. The Dolphins held out in underwater tunnels and poison was used to flush them out

Conditions

Shallow water about 5 to 10 meters deep with long winding coral tunnels.

The Engagement

The engagement began on the 10th of Lowsun a brief attack from the Dolphins and War was declared the next day. The only other combat was on the last 3 days of the war, when the Dolphins were flushed out of their tunnels.

Outcome

The island of Starosa regained trade routes but the Dolphins had to surrender any pearls or treasure and had to assist in any further skirmishes of the Starosas

Aftermath

The Dolphins had to move to the other side of the island and the island of Starosa had to celebrate this victory every year.

The island of Starosa won victoriously with only one ship and 65 deaths in total. The dolphins however lost over half their population (3,068) and their coral home was broken beyond repair.
