The Fifth Pact; The Pact of the Azure Tower

Description

This guild has close ties to The Opal Tower (The School specialising in Knowledge sharing) in Casanti. Celestial Mages of any expertise level are welcome as long as they contribute to the guild knowledge and are willing to participate in guild quests. Guild membership grants mages access to more affordable magical materials, information and more rare magical items from time to time. The Order offers a free Spirit Forge to all inexperienced adventurers. (Below Lvl 6)   Also known as the Pact of Scholars, this was a reactive motion made by some of the more magically-inclined leaders of the world. Fearing persecution amid the druidic delegation proposing the Fourth Pact. Celestial mages themselves proposed an arcane regulatory body in the form of a school. The knowledge of the heavens could be plumbed safely under the watchful eye of archmages, on the condition that they also regulate magic item trade, enforce a registry of all Celestial mages and provide some level of assistance to the The Second Pact; The Pact of the Ruby Heart.   Due to the preexisting mistrust of Celestial mages, the other negotiating bodies insisted that one component of the pact be non-magical as a safety measure, while also promoting the scholarly pursuit of alchemy. The terms were found to be agreeable, with alchemists and Celestial mages watching over one another. This Pact governs early character spirit forges, magical and alchemical items as well as their associated components. It is, by its nature, one of the more fraught pacts, but that is perhaps for the best.
Those that take the Pact of the Azure Tower have the following duties expected of them:
  • To aid those ill effected by charm or enslavement effects
    • Further to this the bringing to justice of those that have used these effects for ill means, as in line with the local laws or customs
  • Making certain that the sale of scrolls and alchemical goods is monitored to ensure no great collection of these is transfered in one meeting
  • Spreading the knowledge of cantrips known to other members
  • Members who can cast the spirit forge formal ritual are expected to aid new members of the Ruby Heart by casting this ritual should it be requested
  • To help show the positive benefits of both alchemy and celestial magic to those who show fear or doubt in their applications for good

Notable People: The Guild is run by Helena (Celestial)   Membership: Scroll Making, Alchemists
