Festival of the Sun

Adai 1 is the Festival of the Sun, holy to Ral. This festival tends to be an extension of the Summer Solstice-Day celebrations. The wearing of sun charms, dances, races, and games are prevalent. This festival ends with the setting of the sun, and people retire for a quiet dinner. However, the evening is considered the beginning of the next day’s Festival of the Sky, and star-gazing is common long into the night. Rainy or overcast weather on this day is considered an omen of a lean autumn and a harsh winter.
