Festival of the New Year

The First Spiritsay of Thess is spent in joyous celebration of the beginning of a new year. It is also a holy day of Rai’lo and Suta. The morning is typically spent at celebratory worship services, and the afternoon and early evening are devoted to parties and dancing. However, the festivities usually end shortly after sundown, often concluding with a feast and storytelling by the hearth. People usually retire early on this night to greet the first “work day” of the new year with a fresh start.
