Festival of Benefaction

The Festival of Benefaction is a time of good cheer and gift-giving and is holy to Dal, Jenir, and Hrerir. Gifts are commonly exchanged among families first, then between friends later in the day. Children are usually up very early to see what the Spirits have left at the hearth for them! (Generally, Dal or Jenir are given credit for these gifts, and Hrerir for unpleasant surprises left for greedy or selfish children.) Dances or balls may be held on this night, but many prefer smaller gatherings of family and close friends.
