Day of Broken Bonds

The third Daray in Fa’ar celebrates the freedom of the inheritor-races from the ancient kindred. Slave-owners are encouraged to free at least one of their bondsmen on this day. It is also a popular day for pardoning prisoners and other wrong-doers. It is bad luck to mistreat a slave or servant on this day, and an ill omen to enslave anyone or take part in the sale or purchase of slaves on this day. Some turn this day into a bit of a festival, allowing servants and youths to “run” things while the adults and authorities take over the chores. This day is holy to F’scren.
