Smite and Run

-==New Scene: Ruins of Jacob Whyte’s Abandoned Freeport Estate, Immediately After Sins of Steel and Gold One-Shot==- It happened so fast. Faster than watching Christine get her neck snapped by a gargantuan warrior with ram horns on their helmet. Faster than Jonah being crushed in that same warrior’s grip and Iain being almost crushed under its heel, but that beam of light was faster. It had to be.   In an instance, as the survivors scramble out of the hatch they crawled out of a blinding beam of radiance strikes the hatch and an entire half of the Jacob Whyte’s abandoned manner is reduced to rubble. A smiting has begun.   “Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!”   The first words out of Ode’s mouth as seconds pass and the situation sinks in. Capra’s influence still ripples through him and makes him unable to stand still. All the better when trying to avoid a Celestial Smiting. It makes the second thing he says so much easier.   In a slightly raised commanding request of urgency Ode says,” Up, Up, Up! Everybody up now! Mags, AJ come on we gotta go. Tim, come on bud. Iain? Iain!” Fervently dedicated to his new team’s survival, Ode rolls over to Iain and places his hand on his armor about the same place his heart would be.   His hands have a feeling effect as a feint orangish yellow emanates from Ode’s fingertips as they vibrate against the armor, sending the waves towards Iain’s heart, filling his being a renewed dedication to life as that same restless energy heals a little bit of the sustained damage Iain took from fighting. “Come on man, we gotta go,” Ode grimaces as he attempts to help Iain up.   With Ode's assistance, Iain stands up and looks around, finding himself in a muddled stupor, hardly thinking at all. Fueled by Ode's healing energy, adrenaline and the aggressive aura of his new chestplate, Iain feels both exhausted and wide awake. In short, he feels like shit, and his hands won't stop shaking, but he knows he must push on, or they'll all be dead.   "Okay, what's next?" Iain asks, "We need to get out of here as fast as possible, and if we do make it out, I think we need to debrief about what or who that was."   It all made sense now. Tim's mind is working overtime. Connecting the dots, processing the events that transpired inside the ruins while, locking away other distressing memories. "Those were a vision that is yet to come" he thought, trying in a last ditch effort to shield himself against the tide of a grim realization.   As Tim stands up rapidly, still under the effects of his spell and he makes a fist. His nails dig into his hand as he hits his chest once. "Ok, this is real." exclaims as pain rushes through. "This is just the start! we need to move! now! Mr. Ode, we should move! North I think yes! You and Ms. Maggie should guide us to the wall north from here. We need to get to Nexus!" says in one breath, almost choking. Take a fast breath and get ready to sprint and says without looking behind him " Iain, Christine, Mr. Jonah and everyone else, try to keep up please!
