Duodecim is the dwarf dominated city of extreme Law to the west. Set in a mountain side. Mired in politics and processes. Governed by 12 domains and money. People are summed by their value and although"fair" it means that you could murder someone in the street who has a low value life and pay it off in, say, a month sentence if you were valuable like an enchanter or talented alchemist. The domain are as Follows:   Domain of Stoneblood - A small domain of a singular 'Will' entombed in a statue. The original twelve pledged their will to a construct who handles disputes between Domains.   Domain of Tenants - Responsible for writing the laws of Duodecim.   Domain of Arbitration - Responsible for enforcing the laws of Duodecim.   Domain of Banks - Responsible for economy, value, and wealth.   Domain of Defense - Responsible for the martial defense.   Domain of Pickaxes - Responsible for mining operations and underground expansion.   Domain of Hammers - Responsible for craftsmen, architecture, and development.   Domain of Barley - Responsible for agriculture and spirits.   Domain of Quills - Responsible for lore and education.   Domain of Arenas - Responsible for arts and entertainment.   Domain of Ravens - Responsible for foreign affairs.   Domain of Void - Responsible for nothing.

Demographics

Primary race: Dwarfs. Social stratification is based on the weight of a person's worth, translated into how much an hour of their time is worth in coin. Family heritage, magical ability, and occupation are primary factors.

Government

The government has 12 branches which maintain a domain of governing the city-state.

Walled quarters. Guard towers. Cleared zones from the walls. Tower defense cannons.

Industry & Trade

Sole distribution of Nethicite Metal, a magical steel used to forge magical weapons. Mining operations include the extraction of Nethicite ore from lower mines and Mithril from higher.
