A Bear in the Library

Astroix tumbles into an old Library. In hopes of finding Captios. There's been something eating away at his mind something he's been wanting to get off his chest. He spots Captios reading a book , darting around likely looking for a way to help in this situation. Astroix sits down on a chair and grabs a book pretending to read. With a soft voice Astroix begins to speak. "Hey Captios I've been meaning to speak with you since we got out of that...Condemned place" Astroix raises his head and looks at Captios Thank you* Astroix say's this genuinely."You saved my life back there Captios. I don't think anyone else could have done that" Astroix pats Captios on his shoulder and smiles. Astroix is glad to have someone such as Captios on his side. "So what are ya doing here?"   Captios looks up from the pile of books at his feet. "Huh? Oh... research. Dragons, your tribe, the tree, everything I can get my hands on. Paulo implied I should be looking for things here, but of course I have no idea what. Do you have any ideas on what I should be looking into? There are tons of scrolls, and wands. That's a great start. But I'm wondering if there is anything about the bear tribe that might help us in this situation. Any memories of this place you might have that we can use to our advantage. Seems like the fruits, nuts, sap of this tree all have healing properties. But what am I missing? I've gotta be as useful as possible. We have three threats and not a lot of force to counteract that with. Even disregarding Nova, we have 2 threats that we know we can't face simultaneously. Any information we could possibly get to help us would be good. Oh, and back there? Yea I don't know what got into me, but I've made more mistakes since then that I've been trying to make up for." He smiles weakly at Astroix. "Maybe I'll find something that will help."   Astroix reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small wood chip etched in the shape of a bear "I made this for you when i hallowed out the tree. It's a clue to what you seek. My people were cryptic when it came to hiding their secrets. I can help you search the walls and shelves for clues. Astroix grabs a pencil and begins to draw an intricate drawing of a pear paw. "My people used this to hide most of our secrets you may still find them in this library" Astroix voice tenses up. He's both afraid and bit angry. "As for the Dragons there is some guerilla tactics that were used when our people were cornered. Although you're not gonna like it..." Astroix pauses brushing his hand against his face. Clearly holding his tongue to what he's about to say next. "Dung. It was used to make bombs to throw into a dragons face. The stench and bacteria is enough to make a dragon reel bag and give you an opening. If you're really luck and get it in there mouth it can stop there breath attacks." Astroix begins to ponder for a moment before he flicks Captios on the head with his finger "You're not useless. We came this far because of you. Your brain has gotten us out of plenty of situations."   Captios lights up at the idea of a scavenger hunt. "So we just need to find references to this paw? Shouldn't be too difficult. Man, I should have asked you in the first place rather than wasting time looking at books I don't understand. Do you think there are any references to you in these books? I mean a half-elf aasimar would definitely have made it into the records somewhere. I'm looking for references on why your tribe may have left, given the wards and the vibrancy of this place, it feels like there was no reason for you to leave." Captios scrunches his brow, "basically I'm looking for a lot of things".   Astroix scratches his chin a bit confuddled "I don't even know what an Aasimar is. I doubt there's any books on that here." Astroix pauses then raises his chin. There is a level of melancholy behind his voice now "Well.. , the reason we left was because we had too. You see how much of a warzone this place is. Silvanus gave my sister a vision.. you see she's the tribes spiritual leader.. She lead us north to a much safer place. Astroix tries to change the topic. A bit desperately as his mind flashes back to several memories of his sister. "Let's find some paws, They'll be in books and along the walls. They should lead us somewhere"   "Paws, right." Captios starts flipping through books quickly. He can speed read if anyone was wondering. "What was the vision your sister saw?"   "A New life. One where our people aren't in constant strife. One where my people hath no fear of dragons" Astroix exclaims. before continuing on "A path that lead us north to our new home he showed her. And when we got there Silvanus was right.. we were safe..happy.. for the most part.. then.. disease struck." Astroix losing some of the Hope in his eyes as he continues then shakes his head. "But that's why I'm here i need to find a cure for them. I have to find a cure for them"   "We have almost everything we need for the cure, just dragons blood. We will get this cure to your sister. We have two of the ingredients and dragons is the third. The dragons blood. Once we have that you can go home and cure your people."
