Gortig von Telram

Gortig von Telram is the head of one of oldest noble families of The Kingdom of Jakta . For generations they have ruled the key castle of Fort Telram , protecting the border from incursions of all kinds.
Gortig was born in 969 AFJ, son of Count Sardig IV von Telram. He inherited the title in 997, at the age of 28, when his father died of a surfeit of lampreys.
From 1006-1009 AFJ, Count Gortig led Jaktan forces against those of the The Western Wilderland during their War of Independence.
After the Great Fire of Jakta, Gortig declared himself king.
King Gortig is every inch the warrior king. The armour he wears is of the highest quality, but is unadorned and serviceable, not flashy. His hair and beard are both close cropped; they were once jet black, but are now shot through with grey. His expression is one of fierce determination, with a steady gaze that appears to see everything. He is happy to throw himself into the thick of battle. His men love him for it, he is a soldier's king, and creates impressive loyalty in the men he leads.
