Winter's Gate
Overview
Winter's Gate was originally named Slagthar's Keep, and acted as a military controlled port during the time of the Eternal Empire. It was the conduit of troops, supplies, and information between the northern held military bases of the Empire with the Eternal City. Over the years it grew in size and acted as the personal base of the most prominate general, Richard Bellowbury, at the time of the collapse. While he was quick to open it to civilians, it took much work to make it a proper city, and many aspects of its origins can still be seen today. It takes its name from an older city that was originally the largest city in the area, but that was destroyed in one of the major battles of the civil war. Like every Remnant city, the Age of Winter saw it slowly degrade with time, and today it's progress toward rebuilding is slower than much of the world.
