A War against Humans and Animen

After years of Animen rule, the Humans had become angry with the Animen who ruled over them. After the magic was banished to the Edge of the World, the Animen found themselves in a weakened state as they are magical themselves. The Humans took advantage of this weakness and an uprising began in the Human majority cities. After winning and taking control of those cities, an army was raised and sent out to the other cities. The Animen rallied together, but due to dissent among their own people, they were forced to flee to the Animen cities in the North. Those cities were well defended and the Animen were holding their ground well, but would eventually be destroyed as the Humans push further and further North. The last city to be taken was Era, the Royal City. The Animen made a heroic effort at the Last Stand but were unsuccessful. The army became scattered as fallback orders were issued, and Era was pillaged and burned to the ground, ending the 99 Year War.
