Civil War in Othune

Revolution

Moderated by the renowned and respected Temple in Aldoon, the talks over the succession to the Throne of Othune devolved rapidly and resulted in the deaths of the King and his youngest son and the betrayal of the Kingdom by the secondborn Prince Eidolon. The wars would consume Othune and bridge out into Okar, often to the detriment of the Torchbearers' ability to protect the realm from the hobgoblin realms to the north and the orcish tribes to the west.   The eldest son of the deceased King, Cormorran the Good, would unravel the undead conspirators at the center of the civil war but find himself stricken by a magical curse that would strip his memories and weaken his body. Before he died, Cormorran proclaimed the previously-unknown half-elven son of his younger brother the true heir to the Throne of Othune.
