Siria Hellenthil, Prime Minister of Lyria
Royal Steward Siria Lana Hellenthil (a.k.a. Prime Minister)
The Prime Minister of Lyria
Lady Siria Lana Hellenthil is the Queen's chosen leader for her inner circle of advisors and delegated governors. She is much more than a mere political appointee, however, as she has been a close friend, confidant and companion of the Queen since their youth. Where the Queen is a healer, a mediator and very much the good Queen of a good realm; Siria is much more discerning, observant and pointed in her governing style. In politics and public life, she sees herself as a bulwark between the all-too-often frustrating, angering, and tragic world outside and her Queen. Where the Queen is very much a creature of the physical world, Lady Siria is an initiated magician of the First Flame -- an ancient order of arcane magic users who trace their heritage back to the first disciples of Yaro. Like the Queen, Siria is quite observant in her religious life and also serves as a Priestess of the Pantheon with particular attention paid to the teachings and reverence of Moya, Diva and Yaro.
Unlike the Queen, Lady Siria was originally from the lands falling under the influence of the Garden. Her presence in Lyria was due to her family accompanying a traveling embassy from the Garden that ended up staying in the capital of Lyria for decades. For most of her life, Siria has been traveling between the capital and a large island in the midst of the Adian Sea.
Mental characteristics
Gender Identity
Siria Lana Hellenthil has expressed her gender as feminine, though she is often regarded by non-elves as much more forward and assertive than the word would suggest.
Education
In her youth, she was tutored by many of the same teachers as the Queen.
During her late adolescence, she was initiated into the ancient order of the First Flame and spent a number of years traveling incognito with a triad of masters and mistresses.
Employment
Siria serves as the prime minister for the Queen of Lyria, known as the Royal Steward. She serves at the pleasure of the Queen, and has done so since Amnestra II was seated.
Siria is also the Lady of Evos Isle, an island large enough for a small port city, several inland towns and many outport villages. Evos Isle is home to the Evos Academy, an offshoot of the First Flame that specializes in teaching sorcerers magic relating to combat, protection and detection.
She is also Mistress of Pearlspear Castle, located in the southernmost reach of the neighbouring human Kingdom of Abenton. When she was invested with the title and the land, the Castle was a ruin and the surrounding land had fallen to banditry and wildlife. In the decades since taking the territory over, she has rebuilt the castle and established several villages and a town of primarily gnomish refugees after they were exiled from the halfling realm across the sea.
Mental Trauma
High elven society is intensely stratified and status conscious. As a result of her birth to a minor noble family from a far off island detached from the Garden proper, Siria's childhood experiences within high elven society were riven with social injuries. While she sees to the good governance of her home island, she has not spent more than a month on Evos Isle at any one time for decades. In fact, she has spent more time in Southern Abenton attending to her lands and people there. The Realm of Lyria, and to a greater degree life at court with her Queen, are all very much safe harbours and sanctuaries from those memories and that low-intensity but ever-present trauma.
Wealth & Financial state
Siria is very likely the second richest person in the Realm after the Queen herself.
