Gods - Deities of Arenia

Gods are very real and exist on planes of existence outside the Prime Material Plane (PMP, the "real world"). Even though they don't physically exist in the PMP, they can influence it.
There are many gods that are worshipped in Arenia. Worship of the gods takes many forms such as prayers, offerings, the building of temples, acts in their honour, and in extreme cases, even living sacrifices. This is how the gods gain their power.
If someone prays to a god that doesn't exist, that god then comes into existence, though would be very weak and not really be able to do anything at all. Through prayer and other methods they can gain power and influence the world. More powerful gods with many worshippers obviously have more influence. They can do things like control the weather, bring good harvests, revive the (recently) dead, or create wars, and so on. Being gods, they tend to work indirectly and mysteriously.
