General Summary

Chungle’s Perspective – Mind and Illusions

Chungle write again. Chungle best writer. You like Chungle stories. Okay.   So, Dulb still dumb and droolin’. Sunny wake up though. He look around, kinda confused, then bam!—he in funny magic place, shadowstone makin’ him see stuff like it did to Warby and Goq. But Sunny big brain, he figure out real fast what stone want. No tricks, no thinkin’ too hard, just do. Smart.   Meanwhile, big ugly shadow monsters come out of the stone. Two huge Ankou, like midnight nightmares with too many blades and creepy whispers. Chungle hid. Chungle no want to be nightmare shish-kebab.   Goq and Warby hold ‘em off, but they weird. They split, like reflections in bad water, all twisty and fake. We try hit, but miss. Miss bad. Then Sunny come back from stone land, and boom!—he help fight!   Big fight. Many illusions. Chungle very confused, but Chungle stab things that move. Warby swing big sword. Goq do echo tricks. Grimol help too. Finally, we smash them back into the dark where they belong. Yay, us.   BUT. But but but… bad thing happen. Warby’s big bird, Crown, get zapped by some weird rainbow magic from Ankou. Poof. Gone. No feathers left. Just gone. Warby very sad. Chungle no know what to say. Bird was loud but good. Hope bird not in somewhere too bad.   Anyway, we grab stone and leave. No wanna stay in spooky tree any longer. Time for home.

Sera’s Perspective – A Farewell in Eastwind & Preparing for the North

At last, with the Mind Shadowstone in our possession, we returned to Eastwind. The moment we stepped foot in the city, I felt a wave of relief. The forest had been treacherous, full of unseen dangers, and the party had barely made it through unscathed.   We bid farewell to Grimol, who had been a helpful ally and a grounding presence in our travels. He was headed north to Quillhaven and the Reachwoods, drawn by some purpose of his own. As he left, he clasped Goq’s arm firmly, exchanging a few quiet words before heading off into the bustling streets.   For us, there was only one path forward—return to Illuminar. We had debated briefly whether to keep the Shadowstone or entrust it to MIST’s vaults, but in the end, we decided it was best under heavy guard while we sought the final piece of the puzzle. Melkorion was still on the hunt, and with Narthos’s influence growing, we couldn’t afford to make a mistake.   Before leaving Eastwind, I took the opportunity to fix my vision. The injuries I had sustained in the battle with Vethisthar had blurred my sight, and while I had managed well enough, I needed to be at full strength for what lay ahead. A skilled healer in Eastwind restored my sight, and with it, I felt an overwhelming sense of clarity.   With all preparations in place, we turned our sights fully to Illuminar. Here, we would resupply, train, and make our final plans before heading into the frozen expanse of Brakkar Hold, where the last Shadowstone—Soul—awaited us. Along the way, it seems we would stop in Hearthglen to aid in solving a mystery of disappearing mythical creatures within a Menagerie...
