Vasrim Alps Geographic Location in Ardrim | World Anvil

Vasrim Alps

The Vasrim Alps are a series of mountains located on the western shore of the Canmar Plateau. They are home to the dwarven nation of Morduin, which is also the largest dwarven nation in the known world.

Geography

The Vasrim Mountains come in a vast variety of shapes, with some being incredibly tall and slim, with others being of more average height and of great width. The feature that differentiates the Vasrims from many other mountain ranges is the sheer density of the peaks. The individual mountains are very close together, with the valleys in between them usually being small and incredibly steep. This is also part of what has made the region ideal for the settlement of the Morduinian dwarves. It is also relatively arid, especially on the more eastern sides of the range.

Fauna & Flora

The flora and fauna of the mountains are relatively standard for tropical and subtropical mountains. The most prevalent distinct wildlife are the Kossignac, very large mountain goats that are especially well-suited to the very high altitudes and incredibly steep mountainsides.
