Milalthyr
Milalthyr is the second and final predominantly elven nation in Eastern Beogar. While close allies with Tannith, it is much smaller, being contained entirely within the Challend Peninsula.
Structure
Milalthyr is organized as a semi-direct demoncracy with an incredibly small and limited hierarchy. All major decisions including but not limited to war declarations, taxation, trade agreements, and treaty ratificationwithin the government are made using a purely majoritarian vote
Assets
Milalthyr is relatively wealthy, as it has multiple port cities along lucrative and prosperous trade routes from Balukthur and the Kothic nations. This has allowed it to control much of the international trade within Southeastern Beogar, greatly increasing its wealth and standing.
The Milalthyran Military is considerably strong, especially considering its size. In spite of its strong military, Milalthyr has attempted to remain neutral in nearly every conflict. The most prominent part of its military is its navy, which operates mainly from the many fortress cities along Milalthyr's islands and coast. The most famous of these is Thelenine, as it was sacked during the Great Iribalt War during the Burning of Thelenine.
The most prominent natural resources of the nation are lumber from the Elheserine Forest, silver, and dolomite marble. However, partially due to the small size of Milalthyr, the revenue from the export of natural resources is greatly dwarfed by the massive amounts of money made from trade. This is due to the nation's location along important naval trade routes between Beogar, Balukthur, and the Kothic Isles, as well as its role as a stop along the trade route between Balukthur and the Ulsterlands.
