Timekeeping

It is 1207 AE (After Empire). Each year is made up of 12 months, each month is 4 weeks, each week is 7 days, and each day is 24 hours. Days can be referred to numerically and in the common way, Monday January 1st for instance, but there is also the formal Amuran way where every day of the month has a unique name made up of both the week and day. Monday, January 1st becomes Primia Lunis Anuarii, or the first Monday of January.   Days

The history of time in the Empire actually hearkens back to before the Empire itself. There is a formal cult within the Ordo Sancti that is called the Disciples of the Chant (Canta Anno). This cult is actually more ancient than the Order, which is itself already older than the Empire, and is famed for keeping time through chanting verbal history during the epoch known as Frostmourn. Modern Amuran calendars and timekeeping is thus based on the Chant.
