- So named for the history of shipwrecks that occur here, with an associated myth that there are Siren's who lure sailors to their deaths.
- There are reliable reports that some describe as singing coming from the cove, as well as strange lights being seen at night. The more skeptical attribute the sounds to the winds forcing their way through the porous rocks on the northwest shore of the cove.
- A small band of sailors, the only to ever survive and escape a shipwreck in the cove are unnaturally lured to that cove each full moon, and for that reason they stay away from Dragonback and the Troll Triplets during those times to prevent themselves from unwittingly boarding a ship bound for the trecherous cove.
