Delbryn

General Summary

Delbryn (which has since been dubbed Thieves' Hollow) is a land infested by volcanoes. The climate is harsh and not many resources can be found here. The soil on the island is black and sooty. While the volcanoes have not erupted in many years, no one can be positive that they will not erupt now or tomorrow or soon. However, most do not worry about the possible appending doom saying it's 'part of the experience.'   The island was never more than a stronghold to the Temperentian Empire. With little resources, no one has really wanted to take the island. So, the Empire turned the island into a place to send prisoners or criminals. However, so many were sent here that a new society was created. Communities arose and now the place has become home to many vigilantes or pirates who roam the ocean, netting it the name Thieves' Hollow. Although the Empire may believe they still have control over the people, everyone on the island knows the Empire leadership on the island is just a figure head with no real power. Thus, the inhabitants do as they please.

Races

The only race that was native to Delbryn in the beginning were Tiefling said to be born from demons. However, many other races have since spread across the island as outcasts and criminals were sent to the island. Most notably, the Kenku were all sent to Delbryn as they were deemed a cursed breed of the Aarakocra on Temperentia.

Island Deity

The island deity is Iagi, God of Trickery. Many think it strange that the island of outcasts and criminals would end up being the island the God of Trickery rose, but most just place as fate. No one worships Iagi directly. But, one could say that the lying, stealing, and other crimes could be just like praying to the god.
