Brigid

General Summary

Brigid is a cold island north of Temperentia. Rarely does the sun shine on Brigid and the winters are long and bitter. However, the inhabitants of the island have kept warm for generations due to the many forges scattered across the land. Many of the people here have become excellent blacksmiths which warms them and allows them to create structures or items that can provide heat. The land is also very barren here. There are very few mountains and landmarks. However, there are some cave systems and mines. A forest where the trees are petrified in ice can also be found here.   Many technological advancements have occurred thanks to Brigid's blacksmithing. For example, the first airship was constructed here. Brigid is a vital asset to the Temperentian Empire and the world as a whole. Now, many of the work involves researching Arcane and its uses to the Empire.  

Races

Gnomes and Dwarves are both native to Brigid. Dwarves here generally grow long hair and beards in order to fight the harsh cold. However, those who work in forges generally have many singed hairs. The gnomes also work in the forges, but their work is a lot more mystical than the average dwarf.   Warforged were also first created here. Many warforged who have no master decide to stay in the place of their birth. Plus, many are still 'manufactured' to this day in Brigid.  

Island Deity

The island deity is Tehta, Goddess of the Forge. She has inspired many to become smithies and her forge's flames are said to provide the fire necessary to keep Brigid warm. All craft to her name on Brigid.
