Draesai

Geography

Draesai is commonly known as the continent where the most races make their home as well as where the most cities and kingdoms reside. Despite this, there are still vast stretches of land that is either a lush and dense forest or limited mountains and hills. One of the most unique natural occurrences that has happened in Draesai is the generation of the kingdom now known as Xalon Qidia, as for some strange reason the desert on Draesai grew so blistering hot that the sand boiled, melted, and formed into glass.

Ecosystem

The general ecosystem of Draesai is less diverse than that of Pheroris, but the continent is still home to interesting species of wildlife ranging from artificial glass constructs to diverse crossbreeds between plants and animals as well as toxic creatures from the deepest recesses of the Plaguelands. Some even have special organs that can generate electricity to be discharged several times over.

Ecosystem Cycles

Similarly to Pheroris, much of the animals will hibernate during Afrenkadi while some plants wither before coming out of their hibernation holes during Afmatalos or Afveleon. There are some species however, that will remain active year round such as those around Bretor City, Petrapos, and Aleiyura. Once again during the month of Affa Nalore there will be an upsurge in active wildlife that breeders or even hunters will take advantage of if possible.

Localized Phenomena

Currently the only natural phenomena that can happen on Draesai is the ever-encroaching diseased air from the Plaguelands expanding outward for a few miles on the 26th of Afrenkadi before shrinking back to it's normal diameter. Currently no one outside of the Plaguelands know why this event happens on the same day every year.

Fauna & Flora

Similarly to Pheroris, Draesai has a variety of animals and plants that take on the aspects of certain elements, however that variety is smaller, going from around six elemental diversities to just three. In Draesai one can find themselves in the maw of an Emberfang, a Fulgur Panther, or a Maple Viper, each from their own relative kingdoms or locations. Although Draesai only has three elements to speak of when it comes to variety, there are also very unique plants and animals that were artificially made by the Glasstrusseans, some of which are rumored to be stronger than their elemental progenitors.

Natural Resources

One of the most sought after minerals of the world can be found within the caves and caverns of both Draesai and Pheroris, however, the only races able to withstand the power and rawness of the pure crystalized mana are the Ceimi and the Bretorans. When it comes to Draesai, the Bretorans are normally the ones to mine and transport the mana crystals as they are immune to the raging currents within them. Other resources include prisms crafted from the most precise conditions in Xalon Qidia as well as what the Nistirans call Sacred Magma, which is pulled from the volcano they call home.

History

Draesai as well as the other continents were made when Wyndretin, Oknir, Nalustir, and Cevenna had a talk after the Godland Era came to an end. The four deities met upon a little stone island Oknir had created and conversed among themselves about the creation and terraforming of planets that could one day stop the threat of Balsenoptera for good. Arcson was a testing world, and so they decided that Oknir would take the lead. He created the three continents, Pheroris, Maiclarious, and Draesai but left the one island he made alone. Unfortunately, this land was rich in divine energy as multiple deities had gathered around it whereas the others were made from afar, and so Kysatai decided to corrupt that energy and implant it back into the ground, reaping the blackened harvest now known as the Banished Lands.

Tourism

Not much tourism happens between Draesai and the other continents, though in contrast to Pheroris it is mostly because nearly every social race already lives in Draesai. There are definitely races from Pheroris who have traveled to Draesai, namely very few Stasophates, multiple Toslirin, and of course some Qiseans, but other races like the Iyirans or the Ikrulagians have never touched foot in Draesai for one reason or another. Inhabitants from Maiclarios have been seen around Draesai in the past, however not a lot as they can not survive outside of the frigid temperatures of their homeland.
