Owlventure - Day 27
General Summary
At the start, Ashe recounts her vision, connecting the destruction of her home to the demon cat the heroes have been dealing with. She notices Soren's thunder canon, matching the weapon she saw in her vision too. It is a moment of important revelations for her. She has much to think about.
The spiders lead the heroes to a small encampment of sorts, with a shack, a cabin, and more under construction. There is some sort of barrier preventing the spiders from entering. Overhead, crows circle on patrol. They luckily do not notice the heroes. Right at the start, the heroes meet some sort of lemur in a shack, caged up. There are various supplies there too, traps. At first the lemur is aggressive, but calms down over time. It helps that the heroes healed him.
With effort the heroes learn that the lemur was captured and tortured by the human behind all of this. He wants nothing but revenge, to burn the human alive. He breaks out, smashing the front door of the shack. This quickly draws the crows attention, leading to a battle in which both are killed.
In the aftermath of battle, the heroes explore the cabin and discover a number of spell scrolls, detailed writings about the various forest creatures, and more. It's a lot. They're able to piece together the human's role in everything. Though there will be much untangling to do in the aftermath.
A plan is set, traps are placed. And now the heroes wait.
The spiders carry word back to the owls about what's going on. And the spiders give the heroes an update: the human has captured Gylfie.
