Glossary of terms
D&D 5e contains a lot of abbreviations and terms. Most of these are described in the official resource books, and some might be unique to this campaign. This is a list of the most important terms to know when getting started, and includes all terms unique to this campaign.
Acronyms
- CHA = Charisma, one of the six character attributes. Represents force of personality, leadership, and attractiveness.
- CON = Constitution, one of the six character attributes. Represents stamina and resilience.
- DD = Downtime days. See rewards in Missions
- DEX = Dexterity, one of the six character attributes. Represents grace, balance, and precision.
- DMG = Dungeon Master's Guide, a 5e resource book that can be found in the google drive
- INT = Intelligence, one of the six character attributes. Represents quantitative knowledge.
- PHB = Player's Handbook, a 5e resource book that can be found in the google drive
- MM = Monster Manual, a 5e resource book that can be found in the google drive
- RAI = Rules as intended. When discussing rules, this refers to the intended purpose/interpretation of a rule.
- RAW = Rules as written. When discussing rules, this refers to the meaning of the precise wording of a rule.
- STR = Strength, one of the six character attributes. Represents physical prowess.
- TCE = Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, a 5e resource book that can be found in the google drive
- VGM = Volo's Guide to Monsters, a 5e resource book that can be found in the google drive
- WIS = Wisdom, one of the six character attributes. Represents qualitative knowledge, understanding, and perception.
