The Province of the Verge

The Verge is the northern most region of Archaios. It shares a border with Kentro and the Sylvanlands. It is easily the hardest region to get by in. What land isn't dominated by craggy mountain ranges and foothills is frigid tundra and Volcanic ash lands. Most of its population ekes out a modest living in hamlets in the hills, with only a handful of major population centers in the valleys to the south.

Despite the hostility of the region, stories persist of great riches hidden in its depths, closely guarded by jealous rulers who use the snow and ash to obscure their true nature.
