The Province of Lapis Teras

The province of Lapis Teras is not a continuous land mass, but an archipelago that begins to the south of Kentro and reaches out into the southeast seas. The cities and many towns and villages of Lapis Teras boast the most impressive naval force on the continent; by necessity, as trade between islands would be impossible without strong naval prowess. Over the centuries, the navy of Lapis has repelled more than a few would-be-invaders from the lands beyond the sea. The land itself is quite rocky, with many islands being nearly inaccessible by normal means. It also makes the waters between land incredibly treacherous to those unfamiliar with navigating them.

It is also where humanity first made footfall in Archaios and where the first permanent civilization of man began; nestled between the banks of the twin rivers that cut through the mainland, though remnants of this civilization have been all but lost to time.
