Fürcenburg

Fürcenburg was founded in the wake humanity's reclamation of Eodur from the elves in the early 600s. As the new human kingdoms wished to grow, they needed a reliable source of lumber, and Fürcenburg was built at the edge of the Brytnian Woods to fulfill that role. Over the decades that followed, a number of kingdoms rose to prominence in the Kreisfeld Grasslands that battled for control of the abundant farmland. Ultimately, Fürcenburg won out and has been the controlling cultural power in the region ever since.

The city has changed hands from dynasty to dynasty over the years; the "city of lumber" as it is often called has historically been an attractive target for warlords with asperations of ruling the region. As the biggest lumber working city in Kentro, anyone looking to expand and construct had to either make nice with or invade Fürcenburg. It most recently changed hands during the Twilit War, where an opportunistic noble rallied an army against what was wildly considered an ineffectual ruler who had donated only a poultry sum of troops to aid in the conflict at Eodur. Despite his populist rhetoric, his line of succession has often come under scrutiny from the rest of the United Council because of their unscrupulous means of assentation.
