These linguistics lovers take advantage of Strixhaven’s deep repository of tomes written in ancient and near-extinct languages, teaching themselves these tongues and often translating their favorite works.
Professor Xyla Langning sponsors this club and attends meetings regularly to get a chance to interact with students who might speak rare or dead tongues. Students gain insight into the grammar of past languages and attempt to sound out different words properly. Students might work on translations during the club and then present their work at the end of the year in front of their peers.
