Geritsal Jungles

The south-eastern jungles of Kaeoma are wrought with dangers but also hidden friends.

Society

Like any life-filled biome, the Geristal Jungles are home to a civilisation. Mostly nestled in high treetops, the Dynastini Druids navigate their home on horse-sized rhinoceros beetles. The size and type of rhino beetle they ride is indicative of rank.
The druids are a welcoming community, accepting anyone who is willing to dedicate their lives to living and caring for the jungles. Safe passage is offered to anyone who wishes to pass through, being delivered from a designated point on one side to another on the opposite. Anyone who is found trespassing will be sternly scolded, and if they are poachers, it is up to the leader to decide their fate.

Flora and Fauna

The Geristal Jungles are the perfect humid breeding ground for Octovera, which draws in travelers all over Kaeoma who wish to have one as a companion. On the other hand, those that travel through make sure to keep their heads covered securely to ward away the parasites.
The rare and fortune-bringing Oceluke cats can also be found here if one is fortunate enough. Their watery forms allow them high mobility, but even simply spotting it brings someone great fortune.

Geography

The Geritsal Jungles reach from the south eastern coast to hundreds of kilometers inland. It gradually increases in altitude further in up to 50m above sea level. The highest point is 100m above sea level. The river Undal feeds into the jungle, splitting into smaller streams as it gets closer to the coast.
