Tuner

Derived from the summoners of the old, the Tuner is a special class hailing from the worlds labeled as "Safe Zones." They are unique from other classes because of two unique features. One of which is originally players of Tuner Showdown who were chosen and they have an ability to summon copies of Arcanum's historic and important figures called Notes.   While not considered a true class, Tuners are well-known to the Rune Masquerade community and act as allies to many Guilds such as Cyber Warriors, Detectives, and more.

Career

Qualifications

While anyone can become a Tuner through the app, many can become a True Tuner when the app recognizes their potential and accept their request to join through a form of a yes and no question.

Career Progression

Along with following the game's leveling system, Tuners follow a ranking system based on their levels. The higher their ranks are, the more stars they have as an ally.   Eighth Novice: The starting rank of the Tuner. They are considered a 3-star unit.   Half-Quarter Apprentice: The first rank Tuners are promoted once they are Level 20.   Quarter Knight: The third rank once they are Level 50. They are now considered a 4-star unit.   Whole Veteran: The fourth rank after they turn Level 75.   Clef Maestro: The final and highest rank after they turn Level 100. They are now considered a 5-star unit.

Other Benefits

Along with accessing the ability to summon Notes and travel other worlds, Tuners can join missions from other Guilds and are invited to special missions depending on their ranks and reputation in Tuner Showdown.

Perception

Demographics

As most of the Tuners are recruited through Tuner Showdown, most of them are kids and teenagers aged 13-17 while some of them are adults aged 18-30.

History

20 years ago, Corruption first appeared in Tokyo wrecking chaos under the public's noses. For the next 2 years, adventurers and even Cyber Warriors were unable to stop them. As a way to emulate the powers of the summoner, researchers and game developers Yoshiro Hiramatsu and Nanami Asano built the Note Summon System as a way to fight against Corruption. Along with their circle of friends, they managed to drive away the Corruption and were willing to protect their worlds from them, they started the Tuner Initiative and started developing a few years later a certain app called "Tuner Showdown".

Operations

Tools

Along with their smartphones that contain the Tuner Showdown app, Tuners possess a special hybrid weapon called a Tuning Armament that allows them to fight alongside their Notes and enhances them.

Dangers & Hazards

Due to the possibility of fighting against the Corruption alongside their Notes, there is a high risk that the Tuner will be hurt or corrupted if they jump in unprotected.
