Potentia

Potentia is a city located west of the Gate country in the world of Core. This city is known as the leader in Core's modern era due to its successful schools along with its first Rune Academy in history.

Demographics

As it is known to be the City of Academies, most of the residents in the city are kids and teenagers aged between 8-18 years old along with teachers aged 25-60. Most of the residents are humans, Elit, and Bestia while a few are Umbra with half of them being native to Core while others are foreigners.

Government

City-wise, Potentia is run by the Rune Council branch along with the Mayor and Vice Mayor, who are in charge of the laws, management, and taxation of the city.
There is also the Academy Council which is responsible for academy-related management such as approving school licenses, laws, taxation, and ensuring the integrity and education of the youth. They also have the power to close down a school or Rune Academy if they found 10 or more faculty staff members arrested for corruption and deceit or deemed it unsafe after several violations.

Defences

Like all cities, Potentia is a walled city equipped with several armaments such as magic missiles, traps, and a small military defense corps guarding the walls. Sometimes in a large crisis, they often recruit students to aid them in defending Potentia.

Districts

The districts in the city are split based on the four great Rune Academies with the central district where the government and the Academy Council reside.
The Twilight District is located in the north of the city. where the Twilight Academy students and its associated schools are along with the famous Hikari Star Mall. To the west is the Elemental District where the five specialized schools and the great Adept Academy is located. South is the Steel District where the Iron Academy and the associated martial and crafting schools along with several blacksmiths. Lastly, east is where the Arcane District resides along with the associated magic schools and the great Arcanic Crystal.

History

After the foundation of Arcanum City, the Rune Council decided to build an academy dedicated to training the future adventurers and protectors of worlds without relying too much on Riyoku, the Shadow Twilight, and his band of friends. With the help of some of Riyoku's friends and Queen Himura's grace, they built the Twilight Academy, the very first Rune Academy dedicated to training future warriors and travelers. As the reputation and new adventurers were born for about 5 years, 3 more academies were built dedicated to different specialties. Then as years passed, the surrounding academies created a city not far from Gate country. They eventually named this new city, Potentia.

Points of interest

Along with the four great academies, there is the great Arcanic Crystal that powers the city along with the defenses installed there. There is also Hikari Star Mall, known for its many stores and arcane shops.
