Chrysalis

A ritual exclusive to the Arcanborne. The Chrysalis is a pivotal rite as it removes the inhibition that prevents an Arcanborne from connecting to their magic. The ritual is optional, but it is what makes someone Arcanborne to begin with.

History

Arcan legend details the ritual being taught to them by The First, often regarded by outsiders as the creator of the Arcan. There are no historical records that show where, or what, the ritual originates from aside from the legend. The ritual shares many similarities with the Elemental Ritual that mages go through.

Participants

There are two participants for the Chrysalis rite. A sage and the participant.
The sage is the one that unlocks the participant's inhibition. The participant must meditate before, and during, the ritual.
