Daplewing Manor Hiest

General Summary

The players made their way to Daplewing Manor. There Dina, Quint, Rootha, Killian, and Zimone were waiting for them. Quint revealed that he had written the note that that they wanted to test the players to see if they were worthy to join the Enchanted Duelist. If they joined this club they would get one student die for initiative and another student die for maintaining concentration on a spell. And it wouldn't count against the extracurriculars they can have. The task was to get Sassy Sally Jane from the attic. If they did it not only could they join the club but they would also get their lunches paid for a month. Pangea being hesitant Quint offered to give them a Driftglobe as well. The party agreed to attempt to get the doll.

Ethan used his familar to go to the back. His spider was attacked by a Needle Blight. Determining that going through the back might not be the best way they went into the front. Finding a key they decided to send a Sebastian (Ethan's unseen servant) through the room. Sebastian made it up the steps before he was attacked by two of the coats from the statue. Alexander informed the others about this and they decided to summon Sebastian again and attack them when they did. They manged to defeat the coats but Ethan damaged one of the statues with his ice knife causing the campus security to be alerted. Alexander went ahead and discovered the Earl who commanded him to leave. Alexander agreed and they left the Mannor. At that time Nils and Dean Kianne arrived and told the students to go back to their dorms and their punishment would be talked about in the next morning. Alexander told them that the Strixhaven 5 talked to them about doing this and to blame them. Dean Kianne told them to head back once again. Over hearing them talking Alexander yelled that they shouldn't talk with someone in earshot but Ethan just told him to keep walking. As they headed to their dorm Ethan told Alexander to not let what others think of him affect him to much. Alexander told him that it's his parents that he cares about more and how he just wants to go back home. After saying good night they went to sleep.

The following morning Alexander talked with Dean Kianne who told him that him, Ethan, and Pangea wouldn't be punished ad Dina cleared it with her. She said that Dina found out that there were people posing to be them and tricked them into breaking in. Alexander said that he wanted to talk more about the happening at the school. Kianne said she was too busy to talk about that. Alexander asked if they could investigate the weird things happening. The Dean said as long as they don't break any more school rules that she dosen't care. Alexander told the others about this and Ethan agreed to talk to Dina about if it was them or not at the Horticulture Club. Dina revealed that she lied to Dean Kianne and that it was actually them. She told Ethan that if they wanted to try again they could but if they got caught a second time they wouldn't be able to get them out of trouble again. She also mentioned that now they had tried once they might have a better chance at trying to get in the club if they talked to the others.
