Universal Language

Universal Language refers to the language spoken by all citizens of the solar system of Arcadia. The language was made official by The Order of the Living God, but had existed since Humans first colonized the solar system.
Universal came into being when humans of various backgrounds began immigrating to colonies across the solar system, most notably after the destruction of Earth. It can most accurately be described as an amalgamation of all major languages of Earth, in alphabet, sound, grammar, and structure. Universal ended up with the Roman alphabet, though some characters from the Cyrillic alphabet transferred over, along with some characters from various other writing systems. Universal is read left to right and uses almost every sound present in modern languages.
All languages of the 21st century are considered dead and ancient languages, but will sometimes be taught in schools as extracurricular.
