Pirate's Bay

Pirate's Bay is currently a major trade and port city. It serves as a resting point for ships and their crew during long sea voyages. the city it self stretches out for two miles in every direction from the town center and due to the city's new inhabitants, The birdfolk, some buildings stretch skyward for 40 to 60 feet or so. the Local guild, Wind Oath acts as scouts for the city, Trying to give a forewarning of any hostile ships and assisting ship and crew who find themselves stranded at sea.

the majority of the population is made up of Birdfolk residence with the next highest being human merchants and sailors.

Defences

Natural mountain formation which allows only one point of entry. Also located on an island.

Infrastructure

A Grand dockyard sits in the only opening to the city, these docks can house over 30 giant ships or triple that in medium to small sized ships.

Assets

a Varity of goods from most sea based cities and towns, Pirate's bay is also the only city to have a merchants contract with the underwater city of Paradisos.

History

One of the most important times in the history of Pirate's bay happened over 600 years ago. A group of Adventurers, who had left on a whim to search for a fabled treasure, Returned victorious and used their shipful of treasure to turn the city from a former penal colony to a robust trade city almost over night. It was this action that caught the attention of the world, started the first golden age of adventuring, and caused the settlement of Moonbright to start to grow as a town created and maintained by adventurers.

This island is surrounded on most sides by mountains, any part of the land that isn't used for the city itself is being used for Farmlands.
