Grush Everybristle (a.k.a. Darling Childe)

Grush is an imposing figure, even by ogre standards, standing a few heads taller than most of his kind, with a broad, muscular frame that looks as though it could uproot trees with ease. His skin is a deep, tanned white, thick and rough, marked here and there with scars from past skirmishes and the rough-and-tumble life of an ogre. His small, beady eyes, set beneath a heavy brow, glimmer with a mixture of innocence and confusion, betraying his simple nature amidst his fearsome appearance.
Grush's attire is as primitive as one might expect, favoring function over form. He wears a mismatched patchwork of leathers and furs, haphazardly stitched into a rough loin cloth. Around his neck, almost hidden in layers of flesh, dangles a crudely fashioned amulet, a gift from "Granny Bess," which he believes protects him from harm.
In his hands, Grush carries a massive club, fashioned from the trunk of a tree, its end studded with spikes and stones. The weapon seems almost an extension of himself, worn and battered from use, yet always by his side, ready to defend himself or, more importantly, his beloved granny.
If someone were to threaten Singing Bess Everbristle, Grush's reaction would be immediate and visceral, his simple mind unable to conceive of any harm befalling his "granny."

Personal history

As a young baby ogre, Grush was stolen away by Granny Bess, his place in his cave taken by a mischevious shapechanging creature.
From there, the simple brute was rasied with the sole goal of having to act as tbe hag's bodyguard, manipulated into seeing her as his loving Granny.
