Gnarlbark Ridge
Gnarlbark Ridge is a mountain range that encircles the Pollen Sands Desert. Formed by the tree healing around a section of branch that was debarked long ago. A few scattered towns and trading posts dot the range. These towns are all set on the lee side of the mountains, as they need to hide from the harsh wind and burn of the sun.
Geography
This is a mountain range of thick mountains of bark, peeled up from the branch. Like other knot mountain ranges, the mountains are pitted with complex and random cave systems, which sometimes ooze forth sapflows that flow to the desert below.
Climate
The mountain range suffers from the heat of the desert below.
Fauna & Flora
The lee side of the range has sparse lichen woods, though the dry air of the region limits the growth of these forests.
