There are 3 seasons in Arborea, which are comprised of 6 total phases. The Sun and Moon, carried by the Owls, spiral outwards and inwards around the Mother Tree throughout the year.
The time periods of the Celestial bodies' movement is divided into thirds, with a prefix denoting which third they are in.
"Juxt-", when the Sun and Moon are in the closest third. "Med-", when the Sun and Moon are in the middle third. "Rem-", when the Sun and Moon are in the furthest third.
The direction of their movement inwards or outwards determines their suffix. "-ane", when they are moving away. "-urge", when they are moving closer.
So from Solstice to Solstice, the Seasons go: Juxtane > Medane > Remane > Remurge > Medurge > Juxturge.
