Lettuce Leaf

Luck is a skill or so Lettuce Leaf would have you believe. Somehow the little 4 foot tall Beastkin with no experience or knowledge of how to run the business of the Checkers ended up in charge of the whole thing. How is up for debate as many say a dodgy card game and still others conclude that Lettuce must have cheated. For his own recounting Lettuce simply states that the old Boss was bad at cards and he's just that lucky. What Lettuce must have put up as an equal bet though is anyone's guess but it must of been something special.

Appearance

Lettuce is a 4 foot tall Scaled Beastkin resembling a tiny bipedal lizrard. Large chunks of his ears have been removed in a form of body modification. Lettuce also always carries a modified levin gun that he presumbly won in some other game of chance that glows bright yellow. In addition to this Lettuce wears a specially constructed suit that pumps warm water around his body to keep him warm. Now that he has ascended to a company boss though he has begun looking at clothing options of a higher stature to go with his new found position.

Personality

Lettuce believes in fate, chance and luck, specifically his own good variety. As far as anyone can tell he's just lucky supernaturally so and in some ways this has become his personality. He makes decisions by the flip of a coin or roll of a dice and for some reason this has worked out for him so far so no one is questioning it. Despite his luck though he seems to be a simple sort just wanting to eat good food and be happy and his luck, at least for now allows him just that.

Background

Lettuce comes from the The Green the settlement built underground by the Yuan-Ti a sect of the Beastkin that need to exist in far warmer climates. What he did there and why he now prefers the above ground now instead of where he came from is a secret none have pressed him on.
For his time in the above ground though he moved from gambling house to gampbling house, private games and secret games always finding himself with the winning hands or just right roll of a dice. He's been kicked out of more than one and banned permamently from the ones who know better than to risk losing more than they are willing to to Lettuces Luck.
Eventually Lettuce found himself at a card game with the old boss of the Checkers. This was a private game with only two witnesses Maggie and the Old Man. Some time later Lettuce left the card game with Maggie, the Old man and the ownership of the Checkers and the old boss was never heard from again. Lettuce either got lucky or killed the old boss but with the Old man and Maggie there that seems unlikely.

Relationships

Maggie

Even though it seems strange given that Maggie was being groomed to take over the Checkers upon the Old Bosses retirement she seems to have developed some kind of relationship with Lettuce. Wether this is romantic or not is hard to say but they seem close if nothing else

Allegiance

Lettuce has a tenuous tie back to his home in the Green but what that is and how it can be called upon is anyone's guess

Abilities

Supernatural Luck

Lettuce is lucky and not just normal lucky he is without a doubt the luckiest person to ever have lived in Arbor or perhaps anywhere. Witnesses to his gambling luck verify that he seems to be able to just roll or draw exactly what he needs to when he needs to. But it extends further than this and things that seem implausible just keep happeneing around him that defy explanation.
He crosses the street without looking for any of the high speed steam cars, he regularly finds money on the ground and when he was being held up at knife point a green cloak appeared around the corner despite being in the Twigs at the time.

Equipment

Heat Suit

As a cold blooded creature Lettuce needs to stay warm in order to function at a level that the rest of us take for granted. He has a specially built suit that circulates warm water around him at all times allowing him to function. The suit is clearly of Gilded make but how he could afford such a thing is beyond understanding.

Yellow Levin Cannon

Lettuce also has another piece of unique technology a specially constructed Levin Pistol that shoots bolts of yellow lightning.
