For the past months, our city has been gripped by a relentless and unnatural snowstorm, a phenomenon that has strained our resources and tested our resilience. Amidst this harsh winter, a series of heinous murders has begun to unfold, each more gruesome and ritualistic than the last. To date, seven souls have been taken from us in the most brutal of manners, their hearts ripped from their chests, their bodies left as chilling warnings.
Our investigation into these murders has revealed troubling evidence of a sinister pattern, one that suggests the hand of a deeply disturbed individual or perhaps a cult with dark intentions. Despite our best efforts, the City Watch has been unable to apprehend the perpetrator, and the citizens of Harrowfrost live in growing fear and suspicion.
It is in this dire context that I reach out to you. Your reputation for bravery, skill, and keen insight has reached my ears, and I believe you possess the qualities necessary to aid us in this grim task. We need someone who can navigate the shadows, uncover the hidden truths, and bring justice to the victims whose lives have been so cruelly cut short.
