Jekkari
Personal History
Jekkari Thorne was born on a neighboring island not far from TonTon, the younger son of a well-regarded tavern keeper. His childhood was steeped in the sounds of shanties, clinking tankards, and the rough wisdom of passing sailors. When his father passed, the family tavern was handed down to Jekkari’s older brother—a decision that quickly kindled rivalry between the two. Where his brother favored tradition and order, Jekkari wanted to expand, modernize, and invite in more eclectic clientele.
After months of clashing visions and growing resentment, Jekkari left. He set sail for the nearby island of TonTon, hearing whispers that the vibrant fishing settlement had no central place for weary travelers and villagers to gather. There, he founded **The Coral Fang**, a lively, sea-salt-worn tavern that quickly became the heartbeat of TonTon’s evenings.
Now, Jekkari serves not just drinks, but stories, insights, and the occasional cryptic warning. Though he’s built something of his own, the rift with his brother and the weight of his father's legacy still linger in his mind.
Physical descriptions
Appearance & Attire
Tall and angular, Jekkari's skin has a muted, dusk-like hue—blending the brown of desert stone with faint streaks of grey. His hair is ink-black and coiled into tight braids bound in silver rings. His eyes are mismatched: one hazel, the other metallic gold. He wears layered desert garb reinforced with riveted leather and embroidered with symbols that seem to shimmer when viewed from the corner of one’s eye. A grey silk scarf wraps around his lower face, hiding the thin scar that splits his lips.
Concealed Items
What do they sound like
Jekkari speaks in a quiet, clipped tone—each word measured, calculated, and low enough to make you lean closer. His accent is difficult to place, blending syllables from the desert tribes, infernal lingo, and something older, perhaps from the Astral Sea.
Social
Motivations
Jekkari seeks balance through disruption. He believes that stability often serves the corrupt, and so he sells secrets to tip the scales toward what he calls “the deserving”—whoever they may be at that moment. He is a broker of destiny, not because he desires control, but because he despises stagnation.
